FAQ

How is Odyssey different from similar event formats?

Odyssey brings together an interdisciplinary community for a new type of gathering that centers on intellectual exchange. The program features small group discussions and experiences, offering a container for meaningful engagement and deep dialogue. Our key differentiators:

  • Unique format no speakers, keynotes, panels, or promotion. Off the record, Chatham House Rules.
  • Substance over networking — gatherings designed for nourishment, ideation, and meaningful resonance.
  • Interdisciplinary exchange — roundtable discussions about a range of topics for small groups from across backgrounds.
  • Intellectual stimulation — a space where attendees are invited to question assumptions and broaden their worldview.
  • Reflective environment— an opportunity for leaders to step back from daily demands and engage with new ideas, often as curious beginners.
  • Depth and vulnerability — a format that encourages both intellectual rigor and emotional openness.

Who will be attending Odyssey?

The annual forum gathers ~110 guests across backgrounds, composed of:

  • Dynamic global leaders and big thinkers who are naturally curious, intellectual and have a point of view
  • Range of unfamiliar or unexpected to notables, each a driving force behind their respective industries and communities
  • Comprehensive representation of varied backgrounds, disciplines, perspectives, and age
  • Founders, CEOs, emerging leadership, former leaders, up-and-coming, under the radar, and beyond

Odyssey is an intimate community based on trust and relationships. All outreach to attendees is personal, direct, and confidential. Participants are selected and vetted by the founding team and network.

What is the event format?

  • Facilitated small group discussions (15 participants per session with moderator)
  • Topics exploring the most pressing philosophical, technological and policy issues of our time
  • Workshops and shared experiences designed to introduce participants to something new—an idea, practice, musical talent
  • No keynotes and panels
  • Format is designed to learn from and challenge each other, driving individual and collective discovery, action and impact

Odyssey is entirely off-the-record and designed to be free from any political, social, or commercial agendas. To maintain this neutral space, we kindly ask that participants refrain from promoting any personal initiatives or fundraising efforts during the event.

How do I get an invite to Odyssey?

Odyssey is built in collaboration with our community. Our team spends significant time curating guest lists with a group of advisors and community builders. We appreciate and welcome referrals for our invite-only events by emailing madeline@odyssey.global

Can I bring my spouse? Children?

We understand the importance of sharing transformative experiences with those closest to you. As such, significant others will considered upon request by emailing team@odyssey.global.

As the event’s format and content are not conducive to a younger audience, children are not permitted beyond special cases.

We intend to maintain an intimate and intellectual environment, while being sensitive to individual needs. We appreciate your understanding that this environment will not be for everyone.

Is there financial assistance available to offset ticket costs?

We understand that cost should not be a barrier to participation, and acknowledge each request with consideration. To promote accessibility, discounted admission is available on a selective and as-needed basis. Please do not hesitate to reach out to team@odyssey.global for consideration.

Note, ticket price reflects the significant costs to organize and host this gathering.
